Jumpsuit Madness

 I am not going to lie, I have never even owned a romper, so this jumpsuit is a bit of a stretch for me. But hey, no risk, no reward....right? I actually bought this lovely frock of black fabric over a year ago, then it sat in my closet unloved and ignored. It even fell to the back, so I really never even remembered it. Then just last week I rediscovered it, and fell in love, thank goodness, because its amazing. So even though it is old, it is one of my favorite items I own now. Hooray for rediscovery!

Storm Cloud Orange

{Shoes: Crown Vintage}{Skirt: Forever 21}{Clutch: J Crew}{Skirt: H&M}
In my personal opinion, orange and leopard make a great couple. They seem to compliment each other quite nicely. As my apparent obsession with leopard grows, my fondness of the color orange is pretty much at a stand still. I can't say I love the color, because, in fact, I think it is probably one of the most hidious colors avaiable (sorry if I am offending anyeone who might be particularly partial to orange). Maybe it is that it doesn't look so great on me, or maybe it is that it is really hard to find a good orange color, but whatever the reason, this skirt is the one orange piece of clothing I own...and I love it. Although, I don't know how protective againts the rain it would have been if those dark clouds in the back had moved in faster.

Happy Friday

Happy Friday, people! Woohoo! Friday is finally here, time to celebreate, and what better way to celebrate than with balloons? These were such fun phots to take with my friend Alyson. The balloons were going everywhere, but it was worth the wind. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Currently Craving {Crochet Dreams}

A trend that has been slowly (or not so slowly) making its retail store debut, is crochet. A trend that was once considered more a homely and semi gypsy feel, is shedding that prior reputation and taking on a completely new role. So, what exactly has helped crochet find its new found glory? Well, there was the S/S 10 collections, where more than a few top notch names had models strutting down the runway in crochet. More recently, though, celebs have been seen wearing crochet everywhere from red carpets to coachella. Dress it up, or dress it down, I like what I see out there for this new coming trend. I for one, am jumping on the bandwagon.

Snapshots

Here are some snapshots from the past week or so. Last week was my birthday, hence the cupcake. I also went on a major vintage shopping adventure the other day and tried on some of the best 80's dresses I have ever seen in my life. I was so in love, but unfortunately I am well aware that I would look like a bit of a weirdo wearing them in the real world. But dress up is always fun. I did end up purchasing the turquoise leather dress, which is amazing. I will have a whole post dedicated to it soon enough, don't you worry. Also, look for a soon to be post featuring those balloons!

{Pink and Leopard}

I am back! I feel like I haven't posted in ages, but it has really only been about a week. I was basically a giant ball of stress studying for finals and finishing the quarter. Thank goodness for summer vacation. Personally, I find that the best kind of therapy is that of the retail kind. Which is exactly what I did this weekend at a lovely store called J Crew. I might have gone a little over board, but I mean, mostly everything was on sale, so I figure its justifiable. I might own one too many leopard print pieces now, but then again, can you really own too much animal print? I didn't think so.

I was channelling my inner dinosaur here. Obviously.

Beach Fab

Who doesn't love a good day (or longer) at the beach? Now, I understand that not everyone lives in a place where there are white sand beaches, this is includes myself. So, fortunately, there are pools to help us escape the over bearing heat. Here are two fab looks to glam yourself up while cooling off.

 This Net-A-Porter swimsuit is to die for. Literally, I am obsessed. Eat your heart out bikini's, this one piece will grab just as much attention, if not more. With the waist belt, and adorable floral design, this is nothing but perfection. This outfit is perfect for a pool party, or even an afternoon at the beach. Although it is a little dressy for the beach, I say, who cares when you look this good?

If you aren't really into getting all dolled up for the beach, then I suppose I understand. For a casual, fun day playing in the water and laying out in the sun, this outfit is perfect. Tell me these high waisted, distressed denim shorts aren't fabulous. I love them for throwing on before the beach. To keep cool, but still look fashionable, pair it with a fun fringe shirt. You can't really go wrong when dressing for the beach, but why not look great there, too?

PS-- Don't forget sun screen :)

Casual Sunday

After what seemed like months of rain (it was really only a week), Seattle finally recived some much needed sunshine! I had a busy weekend, and was beyond excited for the lazy Sunday to come around. I didn't even attempt to dress up. I grabbed by favorite boyfriend shorts, and baggy shirt and called it good. Sometimes, dressing down is just as fashionable as dressing to impress. I may not be breaking any fashion rules, or carving my path in uncharted fashion territories, but I was comfortable on a warm, lazy Sunday.

{Guest Fashionisto} Ryan Appleby Style

Meet Ryan Appleby, basketball player by day, fashionisto by night. This is the perfect casual weekend style, with a touch of hipster. Call me a sucker, but I think this outfit is perfect for a weekend day. Don't we all wish our guys dressed this well? I think my favorite part are the boots. I love the feel of casual hipster, yet dressed up masculinity that they bring to the outfit. I would say Ryan pulled this outfit off perfectly.

{Jeans: Seven for all Mankind}{Shoes: Old H&M}{Shirt: Forever 21}{Arm Candy: H&M}
Happy Monday everyone! For those of you who are students like me, Monday's are never exciting are they? At least I never find anything too fun about them. It's the beginning of exams for me soon so studying is going to suck every last drop of energy out of me. Hopefully I can actually get some studying done without getting too distracted by every online fashion website possible. Isn't that how it goes? When you have to be studying, everything (even cleaning) seems to be more fun. So hopefully everyone has a wonderful week, and a happy Monday!
