{The cheapest dress I have ever found..}

Winter time in Seattle isn't exactly tough. I mean, we get rain, rain, and more rain. But typically we do not experience loads of snow or months of below freezing temperatures. In that way, I suppose, we are lucky. We just have to deal with puddles, constant umbrella use, and more ruined hair days than one would hope for. We did have one very bad (cold) snowstorm this year, but that is probably it for this winter, which is fine by me. Lately it has been chilly, but not freezing. In the low 50's range. I went to H&M on Friday to see about their "buy one, get one free" deal going on. I am not going to lie, usually I don't find anything too great. It is mostly clearance items that were ugly to begin with, or odd sizes and colors left over. However, Friday I truely did hit the jackpot. At least, I think so. This orange and pink dress has been on my mind since they got them in back in the summer. I didn't get it then because a) I couldn't justify spending money on yet another dress so close to the cold weather of fall. And b) I couldn't justify spending $30 on it. I don't know why, for H&M standards, it was very well made and thick fabrick. It was not over priced, I am just a bargain shopper. So my excitement to see this dress on sale on Friday was huge. Then the price tag made this dress even more worth my waiting. $7. That was it. 7 dollars...AND I got to get something else for free. So i got some simple little shirt thing which is not nearly as exciting as this dress. So I did not care how cold it was, I pulled a Taylor Swift (meaning, I don't think the girl owns pants...) and threw it on for a quick couple of hours before it got too freezing at night to wear it out. Needless to say, I love it.

{Wedding Bells}

This past Saturday I had the wedding of a very drear friend of mine. It was such a beautiful and perfect wedding. I had such a good time with my girlfriends dancing, eating, everything else you do at a wedding. The venue was my favorite part of the whole thing (well, not really, but it was so different and interesting). It is called the "the court inside". The name really explains it all, it is literally supposed to be an alley way, between two very gorgeous and old brick buildings. Instead of leaving this alley as is, though, it has been converted into a courtyard between the two buildings with glass going all the way up to a class roof. It was seriously stunning. The balcony's that cover one side of the walls combined with the brick walls made for a very unique venue. Here are some pictures of the outfit and venue!

The court yard and the gorgeous brick wall. So stunning

{Friday Inspiration}

Something I love do, when I have the time, is to sit back and relax with a stack of good magezines. I love looking at the articles of course, but am much more concerned with the editorials. I just love collecting any high fashion editorial pictures that inspires me in my own personal style. Here are some of my favorites right now. Some are old, some are new. All are amazeballs.

I love this jacket and huge ring with her very girly dress.

I love this classic lbd with the huge hair. Love. It.

I'm not sure how this really inspires me in my own style, but something about it I just can't get enough of. The colors I think are what I love the most.

This dress is just to die for. I am obsessed with the color, the style and her hair.

This outfit is something I would wear everyday. Those pink taylored pants are teasing me with their perfection.

Tweed. Enough said.

High bun and belted white lace dress. This is totally up my alley. Its girly, flity and fun. Love it.

Winter Snapshots

This week Seattle had some beyond gorgeous weather. We had the most stunning sunset I can remember seeing in the city in all my years here. Then a few days later we got a major snow storm that gave some local areas up to 20 inches of snow! Thank god that was not my house, seriously. I haven't really attempted to look fashionable this week. Mostly I have focussed on staying warm, drinking lots of hot chocolate and relaxing in the gorgeous white winter wonderland. Here are some pics from the last week or so, mostly the sunset and snow, but a few ranoms in there, too!

Best Dressed {Golden Globes 2012}

So, I think that usually you are supposed to pick only a couple favorites, right? Maybe the dresses that absolutely jumped out at you? I don't know, but this year the dresses literally all seemed amazeballs to me. I am beyond obsessed with more than a couple of these starlets gorgeous gowns. Here are my top picks from last night's show. I have to admit, I didn't actually watch the awards segment of the Golden Globes, I just don't really like anything about award shows except for the attire. I guess I am weird. Anywho, here are the dresses (in no particular order), which is really what you are looking for anyways!

Angelina Jolie in Versace, I am in love the red accents.

Sofia Vergara in a stunning Vera Wang. This color and shape, especially on her figure, is in my top three faves of the night.

Kate Beckinsale in  Roberto Cavalli. She is perfect.

My love for Emma Stone is something like my love for the Backstreet Boys when I was 11. I just think she is amazing both on screen and in real life. She can do no wrong, as we proved last night while rocking this stunning Lanvin gown with an eagle on the belt. I mean, an eagle?! I love that its not a bow or a simple black belt, but instead a full on eagle. Perfection.

Charlize Theron in Christian Dior. I love the volume of this gown, and she is quite possibly the only person who could pull off such a dress. Love the headband, too.

Reese Witherspoon in this Zac Posen looked magical. I love the deep red and the fit was amazing. Not to mention I just love Reese, she also, can do no wrong.

Jessica Alba wore one of my favorite gown. I love the color, the fit, did I mention I love the color? Holy Gucci stunningness. Want.

Well leave it to Heidi Klum to leave nothing to the imagination. Not that walking a runway in lingere left us wondering if she has an amazing body, but this nude Calvin Klein was on another level. She is so gorgeous, she worked this dress well. I loved the pop of color with the necklace and ring.

Alright, lastly we have Dianna Agron in this amazing cut out Giles Deacon gown. She took a risk I think, but it paid off.

{Winter Layering}

Layering has become something of an obsession for me recently. I never fully understood just how essential the entire concept was until I started reading fashion blogs and seeing how much it can add to any outfit. A plain, seemingly boring and simple black dress or white sweater can take on a whole new identity when you add layers. I love that there are so many different things you can do with layering. So even if you feel like you have nothing to wear (every girls irrational problem, right?) you can always count on good layering to switch things up and make older items feel new and exciting.

{Currently Craving: 2012 Style}

One of my new year's resolutions is to be more bold and adventurous with my style. I think I play it safe a little too much. I don't like edgy, neon or anything too wild. In theory, I love them. If I see someone else wearing leopard print pants I salute them. But when it comes to my personal style I don't think I practice what I preach, which is to try new things and experiment as much as you can. I tend to stick to my bubble of girly, preppy and "safe". Well no more! Things that I have never before thought were "me" are going to make a debut this year. Bright colors, bold patterns, edgy boots and jackets, leather, and much more are about to make their way into my closet. Here is a list of just a few fun things I plan on introducing myself to.

While all of these things are not crazy, or wild, they are not things I would usually pick out to wear. The first dress on the list is by far my favorite item, I would normally not wear something this bright, but this dress is to die for.  I want to actually get some good tweed pieces this year, as well as more hats and big flowers to channel by innter Carrie Bradshaw.

{Black and White}

This skirt has been one of my favorite items since I got it last year. Although, it kind of reminds me of the uniform I had to wear in middle school....gross. Oh well, I like it anyways.  Happy Monday people!
