Orange and Denim

Happy Wednesday everyone! I am back again in chambray, I know, I am such a repeat offender. But in my defense, these outfits were a couple of days apart, and I know you guys are guilty of the same offense. I figure, if I love it, I might as well rock it. Also, please excuse the huge burn mark on my arm, I had a run in with the curling iron, ouch.

Summer Endings...

I have been trying to get the last ware out of my summer clothes for the past week or so. I hate that summer is officially gone, and fall is here. I already miss the hot, sunny weather. I have to admit I do really love fall, with all the boots, layering, and pretty colors. It's more the idea of the cold that I hate!

Fancy Pants

So here it is,  my first post in over a month! It feels good to be back, I must say I have really missed it. But like I said, a break is good sometimes, and it was definitely what I needed for a little while. Without getting too sappy or boring you to death with the details, I went through a breakup recently and taking a step back from my blog was something I needed to do to really heal. It's always good to have some "me" time, and girl time, too, or course! But I am back now, and excited to share these insane pants with you guys. I love the wild ikat print paired with the bright pink sweater. It is a loud statement outfit, and I had so much fun wearing it. This sweater is my new obsession going into the Fall months, the color, fit, and warmth are perfect.

A Fresh Start...

I am back! It actually feels like forever since I have posted anything...and that is because it has been forever. Okay, only a month, but in the blogging world that is a hell of a long time. My excuse it that I simply did not feel like it, I needed some time away. Some time to deal with personal things happening in my life that were overwhelming and hard for me to deal with. So my blog took the back burner. I never forgot about it, and was missing it terribly, but a break was necessary. I am happy to report that I am back now, and ready as ever to get back into the swing of things! This feels like a bit of fresh start for me in my personal life, and in a way on here, too.  I have missed interacting with my followers so much and I can't wait to share outfit posts and more in posts to come!

Just a little something to inspire you...<3

Wedding Bliss

Holy wedding season! This week so far, I have had three weddings. I absolutely loved the blue dress that I wore to the most recent one. Here are some pictures of my outfit and some snapshots of me and friends. Happy Friday, everyone!

Lace Skirt + Turquoise

Summer nights, and the livin's easy. This outfit was for a girls night out to celebrate one of my oldest and best friends being back in town from the East coast. It was the perfect night with wine, outside dining, and perfectly warm weather. Getting together with the girls is always fun, as is dressing up a little for the occasion. Happy Monday everyone, hope you all had a fab weekend, too!

{Three Ways to Wear: A Denim Jacket }

A denim jacket can be worn in just about every outfit. It can dress something down or jazz it up. Either way, a good denim jacket is a great statement piece for this fall and winter. Here are some of the ways I am looking forward to wearing my denim jacket.
Were you worried that those colorful pants you bought for the spring and summer were going to collect dust over the next few months? Don't you worry, they will do no such thing. Who says you can't bring them into the fall and winter? It is the way you pair the color that makes it cooler weather ready. I love the play with preppy and hipster in this outfit. A nice pair of bright pants, a sweater and a denim jacket scream prepster, but the combat boots add such a rough edge, perfect for the winter.

I am such a sucker for polka dots. This adorable J Crew skirt with a simple mustard yellow sweater tucked in make my knees go weak. Not to mention the riding boots, and I am sold. I personally think the denim jacket adds so much to this outfit. It pulls the whole thing together. Oh, layering, how I love you.
This last outfit was actually inspired by something I saw someone wearing in a British tabloid that I found randomly sitting on a treadmill at my gym. Weird, I know, but true. I loved the look of wearing a leather skirt castually into the colder months by layering. And in case you are drooling over the ankle booties like I have been for the last few hours, they are from Zara, and they are perfect. Again, the denim really helps make the leather more casual and all around pulled together. Is there anything better than a denim jacket, though?
