{Merry Christmas!}

Merry Christmas!! I hope you all get everything you asked for and more, and have a wonderful perfect day. This is my gift to you...you're welcome :)

If only....dreams come true though, right?!..

{Happy Holidays}

I love this time of year because of Christmas lights everywhere, the darker, richer colors and the fashion isn't too bad either...who doesn't love layering and being cozy?! Here are some pictures I have found recently that really got me in the holiday spirit. Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas, Hanukkah or any other tradition you may celebrate!

I think the picture with the Starbucks cup, Christmas tree and laptop playing Sex and the City is my favorite. Probably because it's beyond a doubt the most realistic one to my life....I love me SATC. Happy Holidays everyone!  :)

{3 Winter Outfits}

Recently I have been kind of obsessed with the 1970's for inspiration. I don't know what is it, but something about a good pair of ultra flared bell bottoms makes me want to do a happy dance. I think Nicole Richie has also caused this fascination to come on in full force....because she looks perfect all the time in her 70's-esque attire, its ridiculous. These are some pieces that I think fit the theme perfectly!

I love this look for those absolutely freezing cold days. The ones where going outside is a must, but you wish you didn't have to. I started with a nice thick pair of black leggings, with the Hunter rainboots. I would probably put on some knee socks just to make sure I was really warm. On top, an over sized cartigan under the army jacket. I love army jackets for the winter because of their length and thickness. The scarf makes sure I stay absolutely toasty!

This outift is more for a cold fall day, because not all places have freezing winters. J Brand jeans paired with this sheer blouse and knee high brown riding boots are semi-70's inspired. Adding the fur vest makes this look fashionable, warmer and adds texture. It may not be the warmest, but it would be great for a warmer winter day.

This last outfit is aimed for a cold night out on the town. Probably not best if clubbing is your style, but for dinner or happy hour this is perfect for me. There is a lot of black going on here, so the turquoise belt adds some bling and much needed shape to this simple and chunky sweater dress. Because it is winter, tights can add a little warmth and a lot of fun to an outfit. These tights have a floral design that is eye catching. The black booties dress up the sweater a bit, as does the patent leather MK bag.  I piared some funky gold jewlery to perfect this evening outfit!

I hope these were inspiring or helpful! Enjoy and Happy Friday!

{Sequin Me Crazy}

Alright, the holiday season is offically upon us! I knew it's not December...yet! But, seriously, people holiday parties are right around the corner. Like, I hear them knocking already. So in the spirit of sparkling lights, pretty colors and fun festivities, I think sequins are just fabulous. My obsession with them started around the age of 7. I refused to wear anything that wasn't "pretty" aka super girly, sparkly and preferably with unicorns on them (I was 7, okay?!). Here are some holiday outfits inspired by everything glittery!

This fabulous dress from TopShop is not only a beautiful colorful disco ball, but holy crap does it remind anyone else of Barbie?! Maybe not. Anyways, I envisioned wearing my hair up with this lovely frock, so simgle "diamond" studs won't take away from the colorful sequin dress. The black pumps are also from TopShop, and I love, love, really love the strap. Because it is pretty darn cold where I live, black tights are kind of a good idea...if you feel like it.

Okay, so this gorgeous dress is, again, from TopShop. It reminds me of winter because of the silver sequins, and light skirt. A lot of shoe options would would with this, but I chose these light pink Steve Madden pumps with a little bedazzle-ness on the heel...HOT. To kind of throw off the angelic look of the whole thing, but not take away from the attention whore sequins, the edgy studs are perfect. Some simple gold bangles and a multicolor clutch perfects the outfit.

This dress might just be my favorite of the bunch. But, then again, I love them all, so its hard to tell. My love for sequins is obvious, but my love for royal blue is something of a long time love affair as well. So this dress is like my dream come true. My Cinderella gown, if you know what I mean. Pairing it with these Steve Madden wedges, instead of pumps was just a personal choice. But ankle bootis, pumps and wedges all work. The ring is to.die.for. So cute. And again, adds some edge to the look. The sequin clutch is Juicy and I just couldnt resist adding even more sparkle to this outfit. I just love it.

Which one is most like your style to rock at a holiday party? Sequins are an eye grabber, so if you want some extra attention (maybe from that special someone..) this year, pick up from sequins and glam it up!

{An Open Letter to Alexa Chung]

Dear Alexa,

I think we could be friends. Why? Oh, because you do things like this...

I am not quite sure what is going on here. But if I had to guess I would say you are either stretching your back, looking at something upside down (obviously) or simply channelling you inner hunch back. Either way, you are awesome and I really love your shoes. Now that we are bff's your closet is my closet, right?

Love,
Christina

{Weekend Fun: Party Outfit}

This post will be all about what to wear to holiday parties!
Okay, okay...just kidding. It is, afterall, a bit early for that. (But, seriously, this post could be used for a holiday party outfit idea. Just saying). This weekend I attended a partay my parent's ther. It was actually very gorgeous, and a fancy gig...cocktail party. Not a partay. No problem, I love dressing up.
I have been looking for a reason to wear this dress I picked up a few months ago, and this seemed like the perfect occasion. The skirt kind of resembles a tablecloth. But in a really cute, fashionable way, right? I love this dress, might even wear it for one of those holiday parties I was rambling about.

{2011 CMA Awards: Best Dressed}

The Country Music Awards are one of the very few award shows I actually watch after the red carpet. So last night I curled up on my couch with some popcorn and enjoyed the show! It was such a good show, the dresses were obviously to die for...suquins anyone? (<-- Carrie Underwood's black chain and sequin dress, I would live in that. Believe me). Call me a sucker, but the tribute to Glen Campbell was very touching. But I think my favorite part of the whole show was Faith Hill's performance. She is so unbelievably stunning and talented. I would just like to be her, thank you.
Anyways, here are my picks for the best dressed ladies of the night (that actually have to do with country music, weird concept).

1. Carrie Underwood rocked this Reem Arca gown. Who doesn't love gold and sequins. Gorgeous.

2. Miranda Lambert looked so classic in this custom-made gown by Haute Hippie... And did anyone else's jaw drop when they saw her pink sparkly-goodness?! I drooled I think.

3. Taylor Swift looked elegant and gorgeous in this J Mendel Taylor. Can she do wrong? Probably not.

4. Faith Hill. Holy white perfection. This Chado Ralph Rucci beyond stunning. Simple made a statement. Her hair might need some work, but the dress is gorgeous.

5. Nicole Kidman...alright, alright. She isn't a country singer, exactly. But she did sing in Moulin Rouge quite well and and is married to a counrty susper star. So I am going to throw her in there. She kind of looks like plastic in this picture, but she is stunning in this Jean Paul Gautier.

Which one was your favorite? I think Carrie Underwood gets my vote, but it was close. Tweet me what you thought about the red carpet fashion last night!

{Army Vest Obsession}

As you guys know, I am in love with vests (See here to fully understand where I am coming from, if you don't already). This army vest from Old Navy is a total dupe for the wonderful J Crew one. I threw on a black dress, leopard print sweater, some tights and my favorite Enzo Angiolini boots and called it good. This is one of my favorite fall go-to outfits because of its comfort factor. I have been trying to layer more lately and I am pretty sure my obsession with vests is getting worse...crap!! Anyways, happy Friday!
