Summer Stripes

Hello, stripes. you are my newest obsession. And you, my navy blue striped maxi skirt, are treating me well. I don't know about you, but this summer has been all about the more notical look. I feel like the more preppy look is "in" more than ever in my neck of the woods. I mean, it is always around, because preppy is classic, but lately I have seen more and more west coast boys dressed to impress, and I am liking what I see. This skirt is perfect for a cooler summer day, with a nice cotton button down tied up to be a little bit more flirty, this skirt can do no wrong.

Casual Sunday

After what seemed like months of rain (it was really only a week), Seattle finally recived some much needed sunshine! I had a busy weekend, and was beyond excited for the lazy Sunday to come around. I didn't even attempt to dress up. I grabbed by favorite boyfriend shorts, and baggy shirt and called it good. Sometimes, dressing down is just as fashionable as dressing to impress. I may not be breaking any fashion rules, or carving my path in uncharted fashion territories, but I was comfortable on a warm, lazy Sunday.

{Pink + Spring}

So excited that it is officially Spring! I have been feeling like this was a very long winter, and even though it is not exactly hot out, it is warmer and brighter so I am one happy camper.

I have been pairing this chambray shirt with every single thing possible since I got it around Christmas time. I love the fit, color and how it goes with so many pieces. The pink and white dress is a fun bright pink perfect for spring time, but too thin to wear nothing over it. To keep warm I put on thick knee high socks under the boots and called it good. I didn't actually belt the chambray most of the day, because I wore the coat over it and was more comfortable without the belt. But when I took of the coat I added the belt and liked it, but it is good to know I have the more casual option of no belt if I want to.

{Fall Stripes}

This is one of my favorite purchases this past summer. I got it for the 4th of July, and it was perfect for the not so warm Seattle weather. I love the notical look to it, I mean, who doesn't like a good notical dress?! The length and slightly baggy fit make it one of the most comfortable dresses I own. I got a lot of wear out of it this summer, and fortunately the past week has been pretty warm for this time of year! Pairing it with a simple denim jacket and flats for this gorgeous sunny day.

{Labor Day Weekend: Stripes and wedges}

Having a three day weekend is glorious, coming back to reality...not so much. My labor day weekend was fun, relaxing and a bit embarrassing (karaoke is not really my thing!). I spent a lot of time outside enjoying some of the last summer sun Seattle will get. Soon fall will be here, and although I love Seattle in the fall, I still want to enjoy every last second of summer while I still can. This particular morning was sunny, but cold. I threw on my favorite wedges, an oversized shirt and called it good! It got pretty warm later, but this outfit was perfect until the afternoon (I just swapped the jeans for shorts)!
