Lace Skirt + Turquoise

Summer nights, and the livin's easy. This outfit was for a girls night out to celebrate one of my oldest and best friends being back in town from the East coast. It was the perfect night with wine, outside dining, and perfectly warm weather. Getting together with the girls is always fun, as is dressing up a little for the occasion. Happy Monday everyone, hope you all had a fab weekend, too!

Storm Cloud Orange

{Shoes: Crown Vintage}{Skirt: Forever 21}{Clutch: J Crew}{Skirt: H&M}
In my personal opinion, orange and leopard make a great couple. They seem to compliment each other quite nicely. As my apparent obsession with leopard grows, my fondness of the color orange is pretty much at a stand still. I can't say I love the color, because, in fact, I think it is probably one of the most hidious colors avaiable (sorry if I am offending anyeone who might be particularly partial to orange). Maybe it is that it doesn't look so great on me, or maybe it is that it is really hard to find a good orange color, but whatever the reason, this skirt is the one orange piece of clothing I own...and I love it. Although, I don't know how protective againts the rain it would have been if those dark clouds in the back had moved in faster.

{Pink and Leopard}

I am back! I feel like I haven't posted in ages, but it has really only been about a week. I was basically a giant ball of stress studying for finals and finishing the quarter. Thank goodness for summer vacation. Personally, I find that the best kind of therapy is that of the retail kind. Which is exactly what I did this weekend at a lovely store called J Crew. I might have gone a little over board, but I mean, mostly everything was on sale, so I figure its justifiable. I might own one too many leopard print pieces now, but then again, can you really own too much animal print? I didn't think so.

I was channelling my inner dinosaur here. Obviously.

Lets talk Leopard

Does leopard print make anyone else feel like they are in the jungle? Maybe I am alone on that one, but it does make me feel more spunky. I love throwing on a animal print, especially when it is leopard. Such a great way to add excitement, texture, and fun to an outfit. I honestly feel more fierce in leopard print, or any animal print really. It is almost as exciting as sequins for me, which is obviously a lot. I went with some distressed jeans and simple black heels because I wanted to focus on the fabulousness of the shirt, as well as bring attention to my top bun. The pink clutch (which I made, to see how see here) adds some much needed color.

Leopard Is My New Black

This weekend was so unbelievably gorgeous. I spent as much time as I possibly could outside enjoying the much needed vitamin D. I love doing outfit posts when it is nice outside, and I am not freezing my butt off. Me and my friend Alyson, from Crushing on Clothes, had such a fun time taking pictures at a local high school. How gorgeous is this building? Definitely check out her blog if you haven't already!

Coral & Chambray

This weekend was so gorgeous. Sunny and warm, spring was definitely in the air. As you know, I have been on the hunt for some pastel pants for sever months now, never quite finding the right color. Well, this weekend I finally struck gold. I found not only one pair of perfect pastel pants, but three pairs. I am so in love with them, I have no words to express my obsession enough. These are the brightest of all three, and I love the coral color. I am so happy I finally found my perfect pastel pants, more pictures of the other colors to come soon!

{April Showers...}

April showers bring May flowers....right? I really hope that is the case because I am beyond sick of the constant rain my state has been seeing this Winter. I wore this outfit around on Saturday and then out with some friends. I was so excited to pull out some bright pink and add more color to my outfit. It is officially Spring, after all. The day was so gogeous, until it started to dump rain out of nowhere. It was a mad dash back to the car that almost resulted in the loss of my camera to a puddle. All in all it the outfit worked great from day to night activities, popped in color and print, and kept me warm enough in the windy,rainy mess.
